Meet our Team

Our dedicated and talented team work together to deliver dentistry to suit whatever your needs.  We pride ourselves on being part of the community fabric of Tredegar and have lots of experience in treating anxious patients.

Our dentists:

Mr Ali Jahanfar
(GDC Number: 72731)

Ali Jahanfar qualified in Gothenburg Sweden in 1996 and started working in Bargoed, Wales. He is very interested in keeping up to date with new techniques by attending courses. Mr Jahanfar is the owner of the practice with his business partner, Regina Appah.

He also works as Clinical Lead for HIW (Healthcare Inspectorate of Wales).

Outside dentistry, Ali enjoys keeping fit, running and is part of a spinning club, going every morning before work.

Miss Regina Appah
(GDC Number: 77557)

Regina Appah qualified in Cardiff in 2000 and following vocational training, worked in various hospital jobs before eventually working in general practice.

In my spare time Regina likes cooking and baking cakes, and spending time with her beautiful little girl.

Miss Angharad Hunt
(GDC Number: 265183)

Angharad Hunt is the newest member to the team qualifying in 2016.  Angharad continues her professional development with the practice and relishes the opportunity to develop with the field of dentistry.

She enjoys keeping active in her spare time which involves going running with her club and climbing.  Angharad also loves making things, including knitting.

Mr David Roberts
(GDC Number: 271436)

David was born in Cardiff and lived there until completing his A levels. Since then he has spent three years in Liverpool doing a Bsc in Biomedical science before moving to Preston to qualify as a dentist. He joined our team in September 2017 and has become an integral member of the team.

While not in work, David enjoys going to the gym and spending his time with his friends and family.

Deborah Hennessey

Deborah is our receptionist who previously worked in a dental practice in Merthyr Tydfil.  She joined the practice in April 2013 with Amanda.

She enjoys long walks with her dogs and spending time with family and friends.

Amanda Jones

Amanda joined our practice in April 2013 with Deborah as a receptionist.  She has now become fully qualified dental nurse, but also still works on reception when required.

Amanda’s interests include spending time with her friends and family and being outdoors walking with her dog.

Bianca Jones
(GDC Number : 272253)

Bianca joined the practice as both a receptionist and a trainee dental nurse in March 2015.  She recently became a fully qualified dental nurse in 2016.

Her interests include meeting up with friends, going out for nice meals and watching good movies.

Chelsea Morgan
(GDC Number: 271959)

Chelsea joined the practice in January 2016 as a trainee dental nurse. She became fully qualified dental nurse in August 2017.

Chelsea has many interests including socialising with friends and she likes to read a lot.

Linda Williams
(GDC Number: 162825)

Linda is a qualified dental nurse with over 35 years of experience to bring to the practice.

In her spare time Linda likes reading, swimming and making greeting cards for friends and family.

Clare Jones
(GDC Number: 165780)

Clare is a qualified dental nurse who has joined our practice in August 2011 and brings a wealth of knowledge to our team.

Her interests include socialising with friends, cooking food and running.  Clare is a keen member of a running club in Tredegar.

Joline Herbert
(GDC Number: 239815)

Joline is an experienced dental nurse who joined the practice in January 2017.

She enjoys playing bingo and watching movies at the cinema, but prefers a good game of darts with her partner and daughter.  Any spare time left she likes to spend relaxing on the sofa watching TV.

Joanne Smith
(GDC Number: 269716)


Joanne qualified as a dental nurse in April 2017. She has always had an interest in dental health, so after completing a degree in law then qualifying and working as a primary school teacher, Joanne decided to make the jump to a new career in dental nursing and hasn’t looked back since.

In her spare time Joanne enjoys spending time with her baby boy and husband, visiting family, reading and cooking.
